Time to Mutate
Last week, we did a deep dive into Mutants in the Now. It’s a really cool system built by a solid fan of classic 80s and 90s TTRPGs. It streamlines the classic mutation system found in “TMNT And Other Strangeness”.
More importantly, it corrects a bunch of mechanical issues and flaws found in some of the older 80s and 90s systems. A lot of attention to detail went into creating a fun, coherent, and effective game that hits you right in the nostalgia bone.
This week, we put it to work. Ash and Zach use the character creation system to generate a couple of funky mutants. We have a blast while tinkering under the hood of this RPG classic throwback.
